"Who is This Workshop For?"

This workshop is for those experiencing the journey of perimenopause & menopause. Or for yoga teachers who wish to better understand perimenopause/menopause and who want to amass some tools and perspectives in supporting perimenopausal & menopausal students.

Because we’ll get on and off the floor, the ability to get on and off the floor is a prerequisite. 

All genders welcome.

In this workshop we will:

  • Practice gentle poses & breath techniques that may mitigate hot flashes & sleep difficulties. 

  • Offer up breath technique for those who more often experience chilliness flashes. 

  • Look at the evidence-based practices that can minimize certain common discomforts.

  • Create a context for celebrating & honoring this phase, noting that mindset shift can change our experience. 

  • Create a space for discussing this important and under discussed life journey.

PROPS YOU WILL NEED:

  • A yoga block 

  • Two clean bath towels

  • Some throw pillows

  • An eye pillow (or a clean scarf)

  • Possibly a blanket

SUGGESTED DONATION:

  • $35 (no one turned away for lack of funds)

  • A portion of donations benefits the Living Now Yoga Diversity Scholarship which supports underrepresented persons in accessing yoga teacher training. Donation info will be provided in your registration email.
