At The Cross-Roads of Hands On Adjustments & Anatomy - a vessel for yoga teachers
ABOUT
Hands-on-adjustments are an art and a science. When done well they become hands-on-communications. And though an adeptly offered adjustment may open worlds for a practitioner, adjustment techniques are frequently under-explored teaching tools.
How does one journey from murkiness to clarity with these powerful tools? There are three component parts. They are intention, hands-on precision (informed by kinesiology/the study of how the body moves) and conscious presence
Do we seek, with the adjustment, to evoke expansion? Surrender? Upliftment? Grounding? Once this intention is clear to the teacher it can be conveyed to the student. Then, with the enrichment of some basic kinesiology, we are artful regarding where and how to place our hands, doing so in cooperation with the intelligence of our student’s body. Lastly, the teacher offers conscious presence, listening to the student throughout and with the whole of their being.
Each of these pieces - intention, hands-on precision & conscious presence - takes time and practice. This 3-day training is a vessel for exploring these transformative aspects of hands-on-communications.
This program includes:
